Like most IEA schools KoroBoro International School is
governed by a Board of Governors appointed by the IEA.
Each year an Annual Meeting of the school is held. At
this meeting parents elect members for the new Board
which is then ratified by the IEA.
The Board of Governors carries out functions delegated
by the IEA.
The following functions have been delegated by the IEA
to school Boards at this time:

Enrolment of Students

Pastoral care of students

Discipline functions in relation to students,
including suspension or expulsion

Preparation of School Budget

Monitoring school budget and finances

Maintenance of facilities

Appointment of teaching staff

Appointment of Deputy Principals in consultation
with IEA

Renewal or Termination of contracts of Teaching
staff

Recommending to IEA on renewal or termination of
contract of Principal

Ancillary staff: conditions of employment,
appointment, termination

Planning for the school’s development
